SermonSlam is a unique Jewish event, a religious-themed open mic, where anyone can take the stage and deliver a 5-minute sermon, speech, or whatever. Tonight, I’ll be talking about “What We Talk About When We Talk About God” at the freedom-themed SermonSlam in Washington Heights. I’d be delighted if some podcast listeners came to see me! Details are here and below.

This month, Lux Alptraum will join me as we read about the definitely-not-rape of Dinah. We’ll start with Genesis 34:1 (or Chapter 29, going by my count), and keep reading until we stop. Set your Bible-watches!
This is not in any way OMGWTFBIBLE or religion or anything-related, but I wrote a play! It is called “The Last Days of the Crossdressers’ Mafia” and it will be part of the TinyRhino short play festival tomorrow, December 17. Come see it! It will be funny! It will involve crossdressing! It will be at 8PM at Littlefield in Brooklyn (that’s 622 Degraw Street).
Usually, I wait until late in the month to do the show, but I have a very exciting guest that I couldn’t pass up. In less than 2 weeks, Steve Wells, creator of the incredible Skeptic’s Annotated Bible, will be joining me at the Magnet Theater to read my Bible with me. And I couldn’t be more excited. There’ll be a Q & A after the show (that won’t be recorded) so don’t miss this event!
This month, we’ll start with chapter 25 and we will keep reading until we stop.
