Here it is! The big massive, water-filled set piece! One of the last action scenes in the Bible for a very long time! God murdering so many people! It’s all in episode 26.2 of OMGWTFBIBLE, featuring David Tuchman and Michael Schreiber.

This is the big event God’s been prepping for centuries. It all goes down this week. But more importantly, Michael and David explore a problem with the casting of Christian Bale as Moses that hasn’t come up elsewhere. What’s the problem? Who would they cast? Listen to it all here!

Have you ever set a plan in motion and slowly watched as the pieces move into place? Did that plan involve pretty much murdering a country’s entire army in cold blood? If so, you’re just like Yehovah in episode 26.1 of OMGWTFBIBLE, preparing the Reed Sea for his planned drowning of the Egyptians.

This time around in David Tuchman’s new translation of the Hebrew Bible as a comedy, he’s joined by Michael Schreiber as they read “Beshalach,” the fourth portion in the book of Exodus. The Reed Sea is about to divided into two sides and Michael has a lot to say about the forces that are dividing the Jewish community. Listen to it all here!

Have you seen Nicki Minaj’s ridiculous “Only” lyric video yet?

Apparently, there was some disagreement on the Internet over whether or not this video invokes Nazi imagery. If you’re like me and have seen an Indiana Jones movie, I’m sure you’ll agree immediately that it does. Predictably, folks have been upset about this video. Probably because it invokes the signifiers of a group that murdered millions of people and does so for no conceivable didactic reason.

We really shouldn’t be making light of plagues these days, but that’s where OMGWTFBIBLE is up to in the Torah, so we don’t really have a choice. This month, meet Rishe Groner, an Australian with a Chabad background and more knowledge about the Torah than David Tuchman or Rashi or God or your Hebrew school teacher could’ve expected.

The third portion of Exodus, which we call “Come,” kicks off with a plague of very annoying insects. But first, Rishe tells us how much of a whirlwind the past month has been. And David invents a Simchat Torah-appropriate parody song on the spot. Listen to it all above!

First of all, I need to apologize. For some crazy reason, I thought these were being cross-posted automatically as the episodes were released online. It turns out they weren’t! That won’t happen again, I assure you. So this is part 4 of OMGWTFBIBLE, episode 24! This time around, Y-Love and me finish up Parshat Va’era, the second portion in Exodus, and share our thoughts on the reading.

What does Y-Love think of Moshe’s journey? Can he sum up everything into a singleword? Check it all out above!
