OMGWTFBIBLE is a brand-new English translation of the Hebrew bible (that’s the Old Testament for all you Jesus lovers out there) from the story of creation all the way to whatever happens in Divrei HaYamim.
Now that David has finished translating the Torah, it’s on a bit of a hiatus, but you can still listen to the show in Podcasts, the episode archive, or wherever else you get podcasts.

Wow. What a wonderfully fantastic podcast. I have just recently found your brilliant show. As a matter of fact I listened to the first episode on June 23rd and as of June 27th have listened to 10 episodes. I don’t know what I shall do once I catch up and have to wait a month for the next episode.
I was raised Presbyterian/Methodist during my childhood. But early on (age 10) I decided I couldn’t worship a god who would let the majority of people go to hell just because they were born somewhere that another religion was their only choice.
Later I came to the realization that the god of the bible is just as ridiculous as any other mythology.
I genuinely enjoy your take on the bible. I have learned so much that I hadn’t realized about this most influential book
I discovered the reason why church leaders don’t teach the bible from the start and go straight through to the end. Why they teach certain scriptures. Because if you read it as a book you’ll either think this is really bad fiction or why are these people following that demon Yahweh.
I found your podcast after I had listened to “Reading the Bible With Dan.” While I adore the humor of his show, I feel as if I am learning as well as laughing with yours.

Keep doing what you’re doing. And thanks for letting me rant because while I have removed the shackles of religion, nobody else in my family has and it’s not a debate I enjoy with them.
